Where is the best pedagogy?

Where is the best pedagogy?

Confucius said:
There are nobody I can’t teach them.”,
“Teaching them according to their ability and interest.”
“I am learning something while I am teaching.”

Terry Flew, in his 3rd Edition of New Media described what he believed to characterize the differences between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0:

"move from personal websites to blogs and blog site aggregation, from publishing to participation, from web content as the outcome of large up-front investment to an ongoing and interactive process, and from content management systems to links based on tagging (folksonomy)".

As well as such adjustments to the Internet, the shift from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 is a direct result of the change in the behavior of those who use the World Wide Web. It show nothing can everlasting in the world, include the instructional pedagogy strategy!

Traditional pedagogy is like web 1.0, inside the teacher’s brain, there were only have 50K average bandwidth, teacher can teach and supply the knowledge to pupil as contained "read-only" material, that is always a one way between teacher and the student. Student receive the knowledge and seldom think about how to manipulate the knowledge well in the day life.

Now, during Web 2.0, the use of the Web can be characterized as the decentralization of website content, which is now generated from the "bottom-up", with many users being contributors and producers of information, as well as the traditional consumers.

Nowadays, dynamically generated blog and social networking profiles, such as Myspace and Facebook, are more popular, allowing for readers to comment on posts in a way that was not available during Web 1.0

ICT world progressing to web 2.0, it is an average 1 megabit of bandwidth. The teacher’s brain need to open to the world, looking to the more effectively, consistently, outspread pedagogies.  There is not good pedagogies unless the students find their own need to start the learning. If we have a lot of choices, why not we give to our students to choose their need. To me, the more effective pedagogy is students get their own way to learn the knowledge according to their need. So free them!

Sharing with them our life experience, lead them to see the future world and ask them to find out what the world need them and what they need from the world.

The world’s changing will never end unless we end for learning. Student need to learn so with the teacher.
