Let try to design !

 

Today i learned a lot! thank for Yee Hui’s presentation on “Designing of a web based environment for learning & Usability”. she had done a fantastic powerpoint to show us her presentation content.  The powerpoint was beautiful and systematic, it was attracting!

From the presentation, i learned some new thing beside i refresh my old knowledge. at the same time, i get some new ideas to create my new wiki for coming 2012 Chinese class platform.

I do have an idea to create an attract story board as a construction design to help my teaching. I will try to build-up a wonderful wiki according to my students’ need. i  think my design was more easier compare with Yee Hui and others, i only have the boy students because my school is a boy school. i not need to worry a lot either the design is suitable to girl or boy. if save a lot of time to think and decide which is suitable.

in my opinion, my wiki need to be more elements to attract the young generation, it also need to have a lot of popularity element like pop song, MV, singer, film star which or who they are be spoony over, but it must be suitable with my teaching and learning objective. All of this can be design as a interest learning tool according to the teaching topic . For example, the song’s lyric can be implement  into essay writing, student can use it’s beautiful and meaningful words and sentences to express their mood and feeling.

A good Wiki must be a web that student like to log in. It is alike a chef who always cook the delicious dishes and his customer always come to have the serve. But the chef need to clearly know his customer’s taste, he can’t cook the spicy food for his customer who can’t eat spicy food. that’s why the Wiki need to build according to the student ability. The chef also can’t cook the sweeties food if his customer suffer with diabetes. It mean that wiki must implement the nice and suitable content, don’t only think about to do it fancy but didn’t benefit the student with good design and content.

A good thing come with it’s value but not how it look, but if i can do the Wiki nicely, beautifully and worthiness, it will be good for my student. So, let start and design it.
