Unconsciously, we had went through a long journey. Since week one till now, we got a lot of information about the using technology to plan the instructional. I feel so lucky I had the opportunity to attend this course under Madam Ng, I had good refresh on the old knowledge and I had learned a lot of new knowledge. As much I learned, I feel that is still a lot of things I don’t know and I need to pay more attention to them.
After a series of lessons, there are a lot of new information of ICT come into my teaching life. Teaching & Learning with Internet: -A theorist perspective: behaviorist, cognitivist and constructivist lead me to re-think the pedagogies where we were been teach when we were in Maktab Perguruan under teacher training course. It always been a guideline to guild me to plan my instructional, in this time, we need to link the theorist with the using of internet. It give us an opportunity to do a brainstorming to plan the new model of instructional.
We go thru the topic of Teaching and Learning with Internet: Best Practices and Benchmarks, KJ give us a great presentation and show us a lot of new information. Thru the presentation, we had been expose to some new technology, web site and other thing could help us make our instructional more interest and effective.
In the topic of Technology-Learning based Environment: TPACK make me refresh the combination and relationship about technology knowledge, pedagogy knowledge and content knowledge. I feel that combination become an important element to been the base when we want to start to plan our instructional. We need to know more about the technology because it progress so fast, it is more faster progress then the pedagogy and content, if we know well to use the technology, we are sure can make our instructional more easy and effective.
Pearl shared with us about the Technology-Learning based Environment :PLE, Personal learning become more important now a day. The knowledge is around us, and we only decide how much the knowledge we want to learn, it was not barrier to get the knowledge because it is on the finger tips. We need to know the ways to guide our student with the suitable skill and choose the suitable content to make them learn by themselves.
Yee Hui showed her fantastic presentation powerpoint about How: Designing of a web-based environment for learning & Usability and she help us to see more about the design of her wiki. She share a lot of function inside the wiki there we can use to make our wiki platform more beautiful and attractive.
Jessica had show her beautiful and attractive powerpoint to share the lesson, How: Development of a web-based environment, with the base of ADDIE we learn a lot of important information to develop the web-based environment to help our instructional.
In the fitting the “dot” section, we try to fit all lessons into a mind map, we had discuss about the ranking of the lessons, we try to link between themselves in the right way to show their important and influence to the instructional. Although we had some arguing about it, but the argues help us more easy to clarify the situation. Lastly, we success to draw the mind map, and we were satisfied with the result.
This course was help me to break a new path, it inspired me to plan my coming web base more suitable and more attractive, I will plan my new wiki for 2012 to engage my student to do their Personal Learning, I will try to build a good Personal Learning Environment to engage more student involve in my wiki’s activity.
